About
Everyone reaches a point in their life when they recognize their life cannot continue in the same direction. We are not made to go through this life and it’s challenges alone. I am here to help. Whether you are struggling with addictions, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, parenting, or stress, you can feel well again. Perhaps you just feel lost and need guidance and clarity on your situation. In therapy with me you will find that I provide a safe and therapeutic environment where you can explore and express your thoughts, feelings, and situation without any judgment.
I have extensive experience helping individuals from various backgrounds and stages in life. I’m a seasoned clinician with a diverse range of training and employment. I currently oversee the treatment of individuals and their families in an Alcohol and Drug treatment program struggling with substance abuse/dependency and co-occurring disorders.
My goal is to provide clients a safe and confidential space where they can feel comfortable reaching their desired change. I provide evidence-based treatment that has been proven to provide change for individuals effectively and rather quickly. Take the first step to feeling well again and lets work together to create the change you desire.

With a personalized treatment plan, A New Awakening of The San Joaquin tailors the Alcohol/Substance Abuse Treatment Programs to the needs of each individual client because no two addiction experiences are alike just like no two people are alike. Our programs assist clients with managing withdrawal symptoms and developing an effective relapse prevention plan.
Addiction is rarely an isolated condition. Normally it involves a myriad of precipitating and/or co-occurring factors. Our professional staff utilizes the 12-step model coupled with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to educate clients on the Disease Concept, the full spectrum of co-occurring disorders that often accompany the disease of addiction, and how alcohol and substance abuse thoroughly permeates every level of their personal and professional lives. By learning to identify the source(s) of their affliction, clients can then develop effective self-management skills which allow them to begin to regaining the ability to live quality lives and repair damaged relationships.
A New Awakening of The San Joaquin views addiction as a family disease, therefore we make available group and/or individual family counseling to foster recovery for everyone involved. Topics covered can include communication skills, developing/voicing/enforcing personal boundaries, sharing/receiving issues in a safe/respectable manner, and much more.
In A New Awakening of The San Joaquin's mental health and co-occurring disorders treatment program, we treat clients for the full spectrum of co-occurring disorders that accompany the disease of addiction. Addiction is rarely an isolated condition involving a myriad of precipitating factors. Clients learn to identify the core issues underlying their affliction and learn effective management skills to regain the ability to live quality lives and repair damaged relationships.
The alcohol/substance abuse treatment group dynamic allows clients to observe they are not alone in their struggle and regain hope for a positive future. Individual counseling provides clients with a private setting to discuss anything they may not be comfortable disclosing in a group.
Alcohol/Substance abuse addiction impacts the lives of the entire family, not only that of the alcoholic or addict. Our alcohol/substance abuse treatment family sessions provide valuable opportunities for loved ones to express concerns and learn how to live the family life they believed was lost.
